Members are the lifeblood of the Friends. And we know from experience, that many visitors and community residents desire to “give back” to the Park but are unsure how to do so. That’s where the Membership Committee comes in... engaging people to support the Park through fun activities and special events at the Park plus offite happenings at neighborhood festivals and markets. If you enjoy talking to people, you’re already qualified to join this committee! The committee meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 10 am. Additional membership planning meetings are held in the evening for volunteers who cannot attend during the day. Programs Committee
The Programs Committee works closely with the Park’s Interpretive Division and provides support for many of the visitor programs, special events and educational programs. Working with Park staff and rangers, committee members create unique learning opportunities and activities such as:
